    I own a Harley, I dislike other Harley owners. Pretentious bunch of older guys who are hyper conservative and not welcoming of others. Super stuck up bunch of people as a general rule. I’ve gone to Harley sponsored bike nights and have pulled up to people with trump flags literally cracking whips in the parking lot. Just a disgusting bunch of people who would tolerate that sort of behavior. I actively avoid them. Outside of my Harley, I love the sport bike community. Safe and welcoming bunch. Like to wave to everyone, etc. Just good people all around. Also Indian riders are awesome people generally.

    I don’t agree with you, it looks like they are copying Polaris in the Indian. Also, I have a 2004 RG and a 2020 RG Limited. The 2020 is the absolute best touring bike there is in comfort and ergonomics. I looked at the 2024 RG. It is no longer a touring bike, I am very disappointed. Little things like monitor placement. The 2020, at fast interstate speeds, you drop your eyes to see it, now it is like the street glide, you drop your head. There is also way more air flow. I hate to say it. I am 60, have rode HD since I was 16, now I like riding cross country and Harley does not have a bike for me. It is a damn shame, the Rushmore changes made on the 2020 Road Glide Limited put Harley Davidson at the top of the touring bike market. Now I would probably go GoldWing. It pains me to say

I’ve found the 219 challenging (especially in West Virginia). Hoping I do ok on the Dragon. We’re staying in Maggie Valley for the week. I’m the only rider in our group that hasn’t ridden it.

    If you're talking about hwy 421 between Mountain City and Bristol then yes, it's quite curvey. I used a car the last time I discovered it and using the late apex approach seems to be the best method and sets you up for the next curve. You know when you're going too fast when the tires start sqealing. The only more curvey back roads I know of are some back roads in West Virginia where you have to look out the side window to follow the curve if you're in a four wheeler

I don't want a giant screen on my bike. I want to be safe. But I do that thru gear and skills not some computer that makes it harder for me to fix my bike myself.

    I own a 2022 Roadmaster Limited. I agree with just about everything you said about the Roadmaster. I personally originally wanted a Vintage Chief. ( I just love that old school look)... But I paid up because of exactly what you said about your "honey".. I bought the Roadmaster because I wanted my wife to be comfortable. Everything you said about the Roadmasters performance is dead on. It's smooth. It's powerful. Two things though, that I wish Indian would do different. 1- The compartment on the dashboard that has the connection for your phone is way to small for most phones. It's equipped with Apple Car Play, but the only connection for that is in that compartment. And If you're smart and have any kind of case for your I-Phone, it will NOT fit in that dinky compartment. and 2- You are exactly right about the seats.. They are FIRM....... And they don't offer a softer touring type seat that has Heat/Cool function. When I first bought my bike, I wanted them ( the dealer) to switch out the seats and trade me for the bigger, softer seats... But then I learned that I was going to forfeit the heat/cool function, and my wife and I decided to stay with the seat it already had on it. There are many days that we travel pretty much ALL day on our Roadmaster. There are a few days / moments when we are really glad we have the heat/cool seats... But there are MANY days after riding all day that our butts are wishing we had a softer seat. We're just training ourselves at this point to make more frequent stops... "Butt Breaks" we call them. But on a scale from 1 to 10 ( 10 being the highest rating), I give my 2022 Roadmaster Limited an overall rating of 9.9

My INDIAN had things going wrong like rust in some of the bolts, my Tach went blank and was going to cost a lot to fix. INDIAN wasn't keen on my trade in and, I think the LRST is more of what I wanted for the price(protected from the wind, big fuel tank, lots of power, not 1000lbs) So far, I'm happy.

You have made many videos, but your UA-cam channel is not getting as many views and subscribers as expected. Because you have no complete SEO for any videos, no channel tags, and no video tags, if you SEO your videos, your subscribers and views will increase, and your channel will grow. Your video quality is very good, but the channel is not increasing due to not doing video SEO. By doing video SEO, the channel grows faster. I can help you if you want.

    I’m sorry, but avoid bikes without ABS? ABS on motorcycles is statistically and documented to be unsafe. If you brake hard enough that the ABS triggers you will not be able to steer rendering the ABS useless anyways. Instead you’ll end up going straight when you absolutely do not wish to. It also increases braking distance by at least 10%. I have literally tested this myself and FortNine has also shown some of the side effects of ABS that i refer to. However i look at a larger picture. There is some justification to have ABS on your front brakes, but not enough that it matters for the average rider. You should never have ABS on your rear brakes. Now you’re probably thinking, why the hell shouldn’t i have ABS on my rear brakes? Well, the thing is, you really want rider experience, and in most scenarios you’ll rely on that experience whilst locking your rear wheel to initiate a drift. Now you’re thinking drifting with a bike is crazy on a normal road. Well, it’s not really if you look at what a drift really is. Drifting is a controlled slide used to either regain or maintain control. And control is what you want. Because if you come in too hot in a corner, you’ll need that level of control. You’re also probably thinking this sounds like extreme scenarios, but truth be told, it’s not as extreme as it sounds. God knows how many times this has saved my sorry @$$. It’s safer to rely on your skills rather than technology, because once technology fails you’re a goner either way. If you’re going with ABS. Make sure it’s front wheel only. Rear wheel ABS will 100% cause accidents if you make a mistake.

    I am beginning to seriously not care about this road. I've said i would probably ride it just to say I did... but it just doesn't mean that much to me. This may be one of the earlier/original "great rides" in the country, but there are many incredible roads, and most of them don't have a target on them where new riders feel the need to prove themselves, and match the record lap, and outdo the riders who came before. I'm not interested in celebrity. All y'all can go get your pictures made on the Tail, and post video and keep on running it like a favorite ride at six flags... that'll leave more roads out there that I don't have to think about challenge riders screwing up my day.

  • @RebelCowboysRVs
    @RebelCowboysRVs День тому

    While I an not a fanboy of the dragon, the road is kept in great shape for a road cut in to the side of the mountain. As someone who lives on a mountain, I can tell you that you have to rate them on a different scale than flat land roads. They are constantly migrating down hill. 16 year old me drove down the mountain to school one day. Smooth, perfect state highway. 3 o'clock came an I started home. I hit a 40 foot section of road about half way up that had slid down the mountain 8 inches while I was at school. Essential I hit a 8 inch curb square on at 45 mph. You can guess what that did to my tires. That was my introduction to driving these roads. The road was fixed in a few days. That was the georgia side of the mountain with a lot of traffic an a large budget. The Tennessee side, well, I have a tristate loop video that starts in Tennessee. It shows what is normal. Lots of up an down an lots of patches. My suspension gets a workout in the first 5 minutes. The Alabama side of my mountain, well, that road washed out 15 or so years ago an has yet to be fixed. So when people say the dragon is a well maintained road, they mean compared to whats normal in the mountains.
